GOOD Meat Named one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2023

Becomes the first cultivated meat company to be given the award

ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Today, TIME announced its list of the Best Inventions of 2023, including GOOD Meat cultivated chicken among the prestigious annual ranking of extraordinary innovations changing our lives. This makes GOOD Meat the first cultivated meat company to be named to TIME’s Best Inventions, adding yet another historic achievement to the company’s impressive catalog of world firsts and landmark moments. If you're interested in quotes, interviews or additional information about this recognition, please let me know.

To compile the list, TIME solicited nominations from editors and correspondents around the world, and through an online application process, paying special attention to growing fields—such as AI, green energy, and sustainability. They then evaluate each contender on a number of key factors, including originality, efficacy, ambition, and impact.

Of the new list, TIME's editors write: “The result is a list of 200 groundbreaking inventions (and 50 special mention inventions)—including the world's most powerful supercomputer, a game-changing entertainment venue, and a new shape—that are changing how we live, work, play, and think about what's possible.”
